Born in Princeton, raised in the Pacific Northwest and Saudi Arabia, educated at the University of Washington (Seattle), Myongdo Language Institute (Korea), Fuller Theological Seminary (Pasadena) and Oxford University (Oxford, UK), university lecturer in South Korea, pastoral minister and mission mobilizer since 1985. Married since 1981 to Sandra Hackett; three children.
